The M3 Lee (also known as the M3 Grant) is an American Meduim tank; named after the civil war generals Robert E. Lee, and Ulysses S. Grant . offical armament, is a 75mm M2/M3 mounted in a hull sponson. with a 47mm gun in a turret, with a Browining M1919, in a smaller turret on top.

In-Game Edit

In World of Tanks the M3 lee, is only able to use its hull mounted 75mm gun. which means that in order to aim out of the gun's lie of fire, that entire tank must turn. This puts it at a cosiderable disadvantage, compared to its other Tier 4 meduim tanks (the T-28 and and Pz III respectivly) espically since almost any tank can disable the M3's tracks thus leaving the Lee dead in the water. however, in unlike its counterparts the stock M3 has a superior gun, with better penetration than both the T-28 and Pz III. though the M3 is intially better, than an T-28 the T-28 armed with an 85mm gun can easily eliminate an M3 with no or little support.

overall the M3 lee earns a 6/10 because though it behaves like a tank destroyer, its gun is suprisinly lethal, which is useful against its tier 4 brothers
